About the Journal
The Intercultural Journal of Multidisciplinary Educational Research (IJMER) is an academic publication of the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí (UASLP), Mexico.
Its mission is to disseminate research findings, theoretical reflections, didactic experiences, and pedagogical innovations that contribute to the analysis, understanding, and transformation of educational processes from intercultural, multidisciplinary, and decolonial perspectives.
RIIEM is conceived as a space for intercultural dialogue and the exchange of diverse ways of knowing, where multiple disciplines, methodologies, and epistemic traditions converge to strengthen educational research situated within local, regional, and global contexts.
The journal acknowledges the cultural and linguistic plurality of contemporary societies, promoting epistemic justice and the inclusion of diverse voices—academic, teaching, community, and Indigenous—in the production of knowledge about education and teaching.
RIIEM publishes original works in Spanish, Portuguese, and English related to education, teaching and learning, teacher training, educational technology, intercultural studies, discipline-based didactics, and decolonial approaches to knowledge.
It accepts research articles, theoretical essays, case studies, book reviews, and documented pedagogical experiences.
All submissions undergo a double-blind peer-review process to ensure the scientific and ethical quality of their contents.
The journal is published semiannually in open-access electronic format, with no publication or access fees for authors or readers, reaffirming its commitment to knowledge as a common good.
